Cleveland native Hazel Parker has been a founding member of The Ginn Academy since its inception in 2007, where she serves as Assistant to Ted Ginn, Sr. Before joining the Academy, she enjoyed a 20-year tenured career as a Speech-Language Pathologist with Shaker Heights Board of Education.
As an integral part of the Academy's operations, Hazel co-authored The Ginn Academy Creed and Alma Mater while helping implement key policies and programs. She manages the Executive Director's calendar, facilitates public appearances, provides speechwriting support, and secures vital resources for the school. Hazel serves as the initial contact for numerous organizations including The Cleveland Foundation, Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns Foundation, and various educational institutions.
In 2020, Hazel joined The Table Core Services Agency as Chief Culture Officer and Case Manager, bringing her authentic passion and extraordinary care to colleagues and clients. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in speech pathology from Cleveland State University and continues to practice speech pathology on a consultant basis.
Hazel enjoys tap dancing, cycling, gardening, and writing in her spare time. She is currently working on a book about Ted Ginn, Sr. entitled "The Man With The Medicine" along with other writing projects. She lives with her husband Cardell and is the proud mother of two daughters, Brittany and Kaila.
